Falling Tree Press Grows Opportunities for Writers

The first submission cycle for Fallen Tree Press recently ended after a robust response from potential authors. Editor Terri Simon says that they are excited by the number of submissions received and look forward to finding their next publication among the manuscripts. The reading and selection process is now underway, with the publication of the chosen work expected later this year.

This pending book comes on the heels of FTP’s most recent offering, Mount Fuji 36 Sonnets by Jay Hall Carpenter. Their initial release, Portraits of Life: An Ekphrastic Anthology is also available.

Founded by ECPP members Terri Simon and Patti Ross in 2022, FTP is a small press specializing in poetry chapbooks. They strive to achieve diversity among its writers, especially those that identify as women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and members of underserved groups.
