Our Busy Summer
Ready to hear what we’ve been up to for the past couple months? We’ve been busy!
In June, ECP&P partnered with artist Elaine Weiner-Reed for an ekphrastic event, Mask & Mirrors. It was well-attended, another wonderful ekphrastic event…look for more ekphrastic events to come! Just a few of our ECP&P poets…
Also in June, some of ECP&P’s poets performed readings throughout the Guinness Arts & Drafts entertainment program. Here are a few:
Terri recently started a small press, Fallen Tree Press, along with Patti. The press published its first book, Portraits of Life: An Ekphrastic Anthology, a collection of the poems and artwork from the Portraits of Life ekphrastic event back in November. Proceeds go to Maryland Food Bank and the Poor People’s Campaign. It turned out beautifully!
In July, ECPP hosted a Poetry Lab at Marietta House Museum. It went so well, we’re already on the calendar for next year!
